Goodies - JayB Samples & Sounds

Johannes Berthold alias JayB might be known to some of you already. The 19 year old guy really got some talent as he just shows with his debut album "Suriama" which can be downloaded for free of his website.

He also got a decent "Sounds" section there. He did made patches for the Yamaha S80, Korg X5D, Quasimidi Sirius, Yamaha AN1x, Roland JP-8080 and the software samplers EXS of Emagic / Apple Logic and NN-XT of Propellerheads Reason. Also he made some really nice kicks and loops which can be also downloaded in the same section.

I did get me the sounds for the NN-XT and his samples and right away you have a good basic sound to start with, without a lot of procession to do on your own. Everyone who is looking for good sounds for Trance and Dance productions I recommend you to download them for free of his site and also check out his tunes as this boy really got some talent.

You can get all patches, sounds and samples on here - http://jayb.ath.cx/Sounds.php

Tutorial - Airwave's Production Tips

Laurent aka Airwave is really one outstanding producer these days with over 500 productions under many alias like Planisphere, Green Martian, Sagittaire and Lolo. He also got a decent webpage with loads of his thoughts and updates for his fans and overall he seems one smart and nice guy, beside just his musical talent.

He did made around 4 tutorials how to create drumssounds with Ableton's buildin generators and effects. It might be not a way for all of us, as most people rather like to work with samples instead of synthesis, however these are really intresting videos, showing there are no limits :)

Here is the link to the production tips section on his webpage - http://www.djairwave.com/Productiontips/productiontips.html

Music - Her Space Holiday

I'm a big fan of The Postal Service with their unique style of Electronic Pop. The atmosphere they both create is just amazing even though they worked on the album "Give Up" without really meeting, thats where the name came from as they needed to send each individual recordings to each other trough the post.

I always been wondering if there is any band or artist who could be able to create the same atmosphere like they do and I found one just some days ago. "Her Space Holiday" might be known to some of you already but I really like to present this artist to you. He already made around 5 albums but I really love the "The Young Machines" one which I am currently listening loads to.

VST - TAL U-NO-62

As I just created this blog I just didnt wanted to leave it with this lonely "launch" post, so I liked to share a good free vst with you that I found myself wasting loads of time with lately.

It's the TAL U-NO-62 which is an improved version of the previous U-NO-60. Its an emulation of the classic analog synth Juno 60 of Roland. Honestly I never had a real juno in front of my fingers but I love this one. It might be not the best synth in your overall collection but easy to use synth for leads and basses. http://kunz.corrupt.ch/?Products:VST_TAL-U-No-62

Blog Launch

Hi,

so this is my blog and this is the first post , I also just did me a myspace too so these are the 2 sites I will focus on. More stuff about me and tools or things or thoughts I like to share on here, my productions on my myspace, so check that out if you find some time - http://www.myspace.com/amaranthmyspace

I will dedicate this site mostly to music productions and most related topics around that, free & good stuff, samples, tutorials I found or made and so on. I am also working on a own refill for Propellerheads Reason which should be released in around 1 or 2 weeks, containing patches for Thor and Malstrom and some various drumloops I made. So check out for more to come soon.

Take care!
